Frequently Asked Questions

  • The subscription plan lasts for a minimum of 12 months and is month to month after that. Cancel anytime after the 12 months have passed. If you cancel, you don’t keep the site (otherwise everyone would just do that and we'd be out of business!). Ask about our buyout option!

  • You just have to sign a new 12 month contract.

  • If you decide to cancel your contract before the 12-month term is up, you will be responsible for paying the full cost of the website ($3,800), plus an additional $25 for each month you've been under contract (for maintenance/support), minus whatever you’ve already paid. For example, if you cancel after 9 months, you would owe $2,450. This is calculated by adding $225 for the 9 months under contract ($25 per month x 9 months) to the $3,800 website cost. Then the total you have paid so far is subtracted from that amount ($175 per month for 9 months). The total amount owed would be $2,450.

  • Every invoice comes with a 7 day grace period to be paid. If an invoice is not paid within 7 days, there will be a $25 late fee applied. If you're on a subscription, and there are multiple monthly invoices that are overdue for months and late for months, we can cancel the contract and the client will be responsible for paying the full price of the site. We are generally very flexible and understanding of certain situations and often times offer assistance and help. But if there is no communication or replies to our messages, we have to take certain precautions to make sure we are paid for our time and effort in making the site and not being taken advantage of.

  • We send email invoices via Square that has a link to a secure page for adding payment info. Subscriptions are paid with a credit card or debt card and we accept all major credit cards. Lump sum projects are paid with zelle bank transfer to minimize processing fees.

  • The $100 per additional page fee is one time. Not recurring. So if you need 3 extra pages, that’s $300 and you’re done. Not $300 a month. That would be crazy!

  • When you sign a contract, either lump sum or subscription, if we cannot design something you are 100% happy with and no longer want to move forward, then we will refund whatever you paid to get started. If we do end up moving forward with building the site, there are no refunds after that point. From then on, refunds are at our discretion.

  • Yes, subscriptions are indefinite. You keep paying every month after the 12 month minimum. It generally takes us 2-3 years to make what we would have made if we sold a lump sum site. So ideally we'd like to have clients last at least 5 years to make getting paid over that period of time worth the wait and financially viable. And at that point, the website will be generating more than $175 a month in value for the client, so the site will essentially be paying for itself at that point and we hope our clients continue to see the value in the work we do to keep paying every month so we can continue to do what we do.

  • Yes, you can buy out of your subscription and keep the rights to your website. If you decide to leave the subscription, you'll have the option to pay a buyout fee. The buyout price is based on how long you've been with the subscription. For example, after 6 months, the buyout price would be $4,300. If you've been with us for 12 months, the buyout price would be $4,800. This gives you the flexibility to leave the subscription while still owning the website you've invested in.

  • Yes! We offer $50 a month subscription add on for unlimited edits and support. These are done with a 12 month minimum commitment as well. There's no turning it on and off every other month. Once you end it, if you want to reinstate, it you’ll need to sign another 12 month commitment.

  • The biggest difference between the subscription and lump sum payment options lies in the long-term versus short-term costs. With the subscription, you’ll pay a bit more over time, but the payments are small, manageable, and affordable on a monthly basis. Plus, you'll receive ongoing support, maintenance, and updates as part of your subscription, which helps ensure that your website continues to run smoothly and stays up-to-date. The lump sum option, on the other hand, requires a one-time payment that covers the full cost of the website design and development upfront. While it costs more at the start, you save money in the long run, and you won’t have to worry about monthly payments. When choosing which package to go for, it all depends on your short-term versus long-term goals. If you don’t mind a higher upfront cost and prefer to avoid ongoing payments while also saving money in the long run, the lump sum may be right for you. However, if you value the added benefits of monthly support and prefer smaller payments over time, the subscription model is your best choice.

  • Yes and no. SEO is comprised of two parts - On-page and Off-page. On-page SEO is everything ON the page like your content, load times, accessibility, and arrangement. Off-page is everything OFF the site like link building, guest posting, citations, etc. We do some on-page SEO with our packages such as incredibly fast load times, accessibility, your meta tags, google search console, sitemap generation, and some content creation.

  • At this time, we don't offer e-commerce websites, but it's definitely something we're working towards. We're excited to expand our services in the near future to include fully integrated e-commerce solutions. Stay tuned!

  • Yes, you always own your domain. We never take hostages!

  • We generally finish a website from start to finish within 3-4 weeks and is all dependent on how soon clients respond to our content and image requests as well as the availability of our designers and developers.

  • You only keep your website if you choose to buy it out. However, you always keep your domain and assets.

  • Yes. We don’t take hostages. Even if we bought the domain for you, when you cancel your subscription with us we transfer the domain to you.

  • Nope! Everything we make is built with custom hand written code. No page builders here. That is what separates us from the others - we put the time and effort to do things differently and it shows in our work and our clients online presence after launch.

  • Our custom-coded websites offer a range of advantages over platforms like WordPress. They are more secure, with no databases or plugins that could potentially be exploited, eliminating the need for constant updates and reducing the risk of hacking. Unlike WordPress sites, which require regular updates to avoid security breaches (such as the risk of redirection to a Chinese gambling site), our sites are inherently more secure. Additionally, they have faster load times, are easier to maintain, and are fully customizable without the excess bloat often associated with plugins. With us, you get a more streamlined, responsive website that doesn’t require constant patching and is protected from common online attacks. Simply put, there's nothing for hackers to break into, no matter how hard they try.
